Fabrizio Caselani, born in Cremona, after attending the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan has been working in the nautical sector as fiberglass composite materials and accessories provider for several luxury brands such as Ferretti Group and particularly the worldwide famous Riva shipyard, Iceyacht and Lomac Nautica.
The experience and expertise acquired in the production of models, molds, prototypes, in addition to the ability to realize the whole production process from design to finished product, led him to approach the automotive sector.
Always collector of iconic Citroen oldtimers. The passion for the mechanical limits leads him to participate in the rally-raid in the Sahara desert with a 2CV, and to compete in the Italian Championship 2CV Cross.
David Obendorfer, born in Budapest,graduated with a degree in industrial design from MOME Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. He's been working for the Officina Italiana Design of Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta for 8 years now. For over twenty years the studio has been dealing with the design of Riva yachts and recently those of the Sanlorenzo shipyard, as far as both the external and internal design features are concerned. As a car enthusiast, for some years has been working on an automotive project with the title "Car Concepts Between Past and Future", a series of contemporary remake of iconic models, with the intent to find possible crossing points between the past and future, studying and proposing stylistic solutions that are able to reconstruct the continuity interrupted decades ago.
The project was born from the collaboration of Fabrizio Caselani and David Obendorfer. A tribute to Flaminio Bertoni and his Citroen HY presented exactly 70 years ago, reinventing the legendary van in an up-to- date way, developed on Citroen Jumper chassis. The Type H 70th Anniversary Van will be produced by Caselani Automobili, located in the area of the Italian motor valley, in a limited and numbered edition of 70 units for each version.
